Access ePSIplus Thematic Meeting and Country Reports

The ePSIplus Network has hosted a comprehensive programme of meetings including expert Thematic Meetings covering the five ePSIplus themes and National Meetings throughout Europe. The reports and documentation corresponding to these meetings are published online.

ePSIplus Network Kick Off Meeting

The ePSIplus Thematic Network Kick Off Meeting, held in Prague 30-31 October 2006, mobilised the Network for action.

The meeting began with a presentation on, “Community Actions for Developing PSI in Europe”, by Andrej Osterman, European Commission, Information Society and Media Directorate-General Directorate E, Information Market Unit.

A challenging keynote address was given by Michel Vajou, Director, MV Etudes et Conseil, on “ Public Sector Information in France: Flawed Framework but Healthy Industry?

The aim of the meeting was to provide a forum for the Network to discuss key PSI issues within the following main thematic areas and plan the work of the Network.

  • Legal and Regulatory Progress and Impact
  • The Financial Impact of the Directive: Pricing and Charging
  • Encouraging PSI Re-use Business
  • Public Sector Organizations and Culture Change
  • Information Management, Standards and Data Quality

Meeting topics also covered practical aspects of the operation of the ePSIplus Thematic Network.
