PSI Group

The Public Sector Information Group

In 2002, the European Commission initiated an informal group - The PSI Group, the remit of which is to:

  • monitor progress with respect to the Re-use of Public Sector Information Directive 2003/98/EC;
  • consider issues of common interest related to the re-use of information;
  • exchange good practices related to the re-use of information.

The membership of the PSI group consists mainly of representatives of the Member States.

The European Commission maintains a PSI portal, which contains a range of information related to the PSI Directive, which includes the PSI Group. The information provided by the ePSI plus project complements that provided by the Commission’s PSI Portal.

The PSI Group meets twice a year. The meetings are normally chaired by the Head of Unit Directorate-General INFSO Unit E4 - Information market
