Ordnance Survey seeks the first Chair in its 200-year history

London: 11 May 2008

The Timesonline UK carries a job recruitment announcement for a Chair of the UK Ordnance Survey of Great Britain. Odgers Ray & Berndtson the recruitment agency web announcement states:

“Ordnance Survey is Great Britain’s national mapping agency. A dynamic, profitable and growing government business (Trading Fund), with revenues of £115m, it provides essential geographic data to vital public service organisations and a rapidly evolving commercial market. Ordnance Survey seeks the first Chair in its 200-year history to provide leadership and governance oversight as it further develops and executes its strategy in a fast-moving, competitive, technology-driven and global market. As with all public sector information holders, it is under OFT scrutiny over its Commercial Use of Public Information.”

The application form was available online. Applications closed on the 9 June 2008.
